Angled lug abatement
The cone shape lug abatement centers the bolt head in the receiver. This insures the bolt head is in the exact same location shot after shot. This design also increases the surface area of the abatement.
Floating bolt head
Slight clearance between the bolt head and the bolt tube negates harmonics generated by firing pin motion, trigger motion, and bolt tube to receiver inconsistencies.
Square Striker to sear engagement
Some common bolt action rifles have angled engagements of striker and sear. This can raise the rear of the bolt tube which creates a bolt slap harmonic when fired. The JARD J70 has square striker to sear engagement when using the JARD trigger . This eliminates raising the rear of the bolt tube.
